Number two in the new wallpaper set! (the first was posted yesterday) I’m super happy with this one, guys. XD One more of these and the set will be complete.
Boy howdy have I missed you guys! That little hiatus was a rather longer than I had planned, but unexpectedly necessary home renovation has been TRYING TO DRAIN MY SOUL. It’s not done yet, but a boatload of progress has been made, and I just can’t go without my Aether Incognita fix anymore! I’m not totally sure how many updates there will be per week for a while still, but rest assured that THERE WILL BE AT LEAST ONE NEW BIT OF ART EVERY WEEK. I’m working on sketching out new pages and doing some design work, so I’m thinking I’ll just give you all a look behind the curtain and post some of that stuff as well as some more finished pieces (future merchandise, here I come!). There are great things ahead, and I can’t thank you enough for sticking with me. Thanks and enjoy!
Hey ya’ll, so as I’m sure you’ve noticed it’s the veeery end of August now, the month in which I said that Aether Incognita would resume updating twice a week. Welp, you may be wondering by now “where exactly are all those new comics, Liz?” The answer to that question is a bit complicated, but here it is: they’re coming…and they’re not. Some pretty goofy things happened during my month off, and as I started doodling some of them in my sketchbook for practice I couldn’t get them out of my head. You see the first comics I ever drew were auto-biographical strips for the college newspaper my little sister worked on, and I’ve always had it in the back of my mind to get back to auto-bio stuff. It’s such a fun way to share our experiences on this crazy planet, and some of my favorite comics out there are at least partially auto-bio. SO, without further ado, I would like to announce the upcoming launch of SUCCOTASH, written and drawn by yours truly and updating 3 TIMES A WEEK.
Now to allay some fears, this does not mean the end of Aether Incognita. I still love this world and characters, and plan to share many more of their stories. However, it does mean that Aether Incognita will be taking a bit more of a backseat to Succotash for a while. I’m just not as good at writing this sort of thing, and getting it right takes me a bit longer than it probably should. Getting back to my cartooning roots has been all kinds of inspirational, though, and as fired up as I am for the new strip, I’m just as committed to continuing this one. So stick around my little corner of the interwebs, my friends, for rest assured there is more to come!
